Peel Strength Test

Procedure:

Partly paste the two portions on each other keeping 50mm as a base. Put on the machine so that the tension remains constant and cylinder needs or meter remains at Zero. Check the strength and report initial strength as minimum of the first 5 operations. Continue the cycle to 3000 operations and then to 5000 cycles and finally after to 10000 cycles. Express this is in N/cm or kg/cm.

Sheer Strength Test

Procedure:

Mount the combined specimen into the jaw of the tensile testing machine such that the free end of the female tape is in the upper jaw and the free end of the male tape is in the bottom jaw, taking care to align the specimen, so that the force applied is uniformly distributed across the width of the closure. Carry out one test per different combination of closure. Express this is in N/cm2 or kgf/cm2.
